Our name "i60" is coined from an excerpt of the most popular book in the world and best-selling book of all times! Isaiah chapter 60 verse 1 says "Arise, shine, for your light has come". Primarily, this sums up our mission and purpose; enabling the Over-50's and their families, to "rise" and "shine" through our uplifting intergenerational music-making activities.

Our Mission
After crossing the 50-year mark, a significant proportion of people start transitioning from being grown-ups to becoming given-ups! Using the power of music, our mission is to reignite the zest of the ageing population so that the rest of their lives can become the best of their lives. Our members and volunteers provide the momentum that helps us affect change. Our History
Loneliness and isolation are two of the leading challenges faced by the older population. Seeing a need for energetic, non-profit work in this area, we formed i60 Community Interest Company in January 2022. While preparing for our first-ever Over-50's Christmas Concert, we realised the immense need to involve the family members of our participants. In fact, seeing the great fun and excitement that our precious Over-50's were experiencing, their younger relatives started enquiring if they could join us! This led to our adoption of the "African Village" concept at the commencement of 2023, thereby making our fun-filled music-making workshops intergenerational.
